HP announces Pavilion Gaming 15 gaming laptops powered by AMD Ryzen processors

HP introduced new models in the Pavilion Gaming 15 family of gaming laptops. A key feature of the new products is that they are based on AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors. According to HP, this is her first AMD gaming laptops. Previously, only Intel chips were used in such devices.

Notebook Pavilion Gaming 15 is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS-display with a resolution of Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) and a frequency of 60 Hz. An improved version will also be available with a display with the same resolution, but with a frequency of 144 Hz. It is noted that the displays are surrounded by rather thin frames, due to which the overall dimensions of the computer are reduced.

The new Pavilion Gaming 15 laptops are based on the AMD Ryzen Picasso family of processors. Depending on the configuration, it can be either Ryzen 5 3550H or Ryzen 7 3750H. Both chips have four cores, as well as integrated graphics Vega. Discrete graphics cards are responsible for processing graphics in games, up to the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q. According to HP, Pavilion Gaming 15 laptops are great solutions for mainstream gaming.

AMD Ryzen processors

New items are made in plastic cases 23.5 mm thick. Responsible for heat dissipation here is an updated cooling system compared to previous generation models with larger heat pipes, a pair of fans and significantly increased ventilation openings on the lower and rear parts of the case. According to the manufacturer, at maximum load, the noise level of the new Pavilion Gaming 15 does not exceed 42 dBA.
