Instagram may start suggesting accounts to unfollow

Instagram may start suggesting accounts to unfollow

Getting started with an Instagram account is very easy. Just click on the word "follow" to see all the posts the particular user posts. However, this "fever" of following many people can leave the social network heavily polluted with content not even that interesting - even if they are followed. In order to make the feed cleaner and more interesting, Instagram can start helping users select accounts that no longer matter.

The news could prevent a person from wasting their time searching for accounts they follow and it doesn't interest them to stop following them one by one. The information was revealed by reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong, who is known for finding out what some applications are testing before actions are implemented.

How would this work?

What Instagram is thinking about doing is creating account groups to manage user interactivity. According to Wong, it's about "bundling the accounts you follow to make them easier to manage." The feature would show which accounts are most viewed in the feed and which users have least interacted with.

The information gathered would be based on data from the last 90 days of activity on the platform . Thus, after three months, the individual may choose to stop following the accounts in which he has least interacted or to keep them. The decision to filter the social network is in the testing phase and its implementation is not yet taken for granted.

Twitter puts dark mode for Android in tests

Twitter puts dark mode for Android in tests

Dark mode hit Twitter seven months ago for iOS operating system users. Now the new feature is finally available to Android users of the social network. Even so, it's still an alpha version, meaning it's a guest testing program for Twitter.

Therefore, other users will still have to wait a little longer before receiving "Lights Out" on their devices . The big difference from the new mode is for OLED screens, which were not so common when Twitter introduced dark mode to its app in 2016.

With the new display technology, 'black' areas of the screen are actually turned off. This allows the user to gain a few more minutes - or even hours - of smartphone battery life.

Huawei has been living in a world of trouble after Donald Trump added the manufacturer's name to the famed 'Entity List'. Android 10: Release Schedules, Features and Supporting Smartphones

Android 10

Android Q, which became known as Android 10, will reportedly launch on September 3, 2019. The news of this release came from two independent agents for Google Support.

Launch Phone Arena , Tuesday (27/08/2019), Android 10 will be present first in a number of Google Pixel smartphones , namely Pixel 3, Pixel 3XL, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 3a XL. Then to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

Still from that source, it was also mentioned that the first generation Pixel smartphones , namely Pixel and Pixel XL which were released in 2016 would receive Android 10 updates. This is quite surprising considering that Pixel smartphones generally only accept warranty upgrades. software for two years.

Smartphones that support Android 10

Google introduced Android 10, originally known as Android Q, at the annual Google I / O 2019 developer conference last May. At that time, Google also explained that Android Q was ready to be used forfolding screen smartphones including 5G technology.

Android Q, the successor to Android P, has entered several beta stages before the final release will be released later. At that stage, a number of smartphones can 'taste' first, which comes from 13 manufacturers not only from the Google Pixel family.

In addition to Pixel, smartphones made by Asus, Essential, Global HMD, Huawei, LG, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sony, Vivo, including Xiaomi are also sure to taste Android Q.

Launching The Verge , as for some smartphones include Asus Zenfone 5z, Essential PH-1, HMD Global Nokia 8.1, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, LG G8, OnePlus OP 6T, Oppo Reno, Realme 3 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ3, Tecno Spark 3 Pro, Vivo X27, Vivo NEX S, Vivo NEX A, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, and Xiaomi Mi 9.

Android 10 Features

There are a number of new features that are carried on Android 10, from Live Caption to Dark Theme.

Dark Theme attracts attention because it can change the appearance of the Android interface to dark. This feature can be accessed via one tap from the quick settings at the top by tapping the Dark Theme icon.

Navigation Gesture, the next feature, gets updates for back and multitasking buttons . When swiped up and dragged left or right, users can move to one application to another quickly. While the back button is now located in the middle of the screen left and right by wiping it when you want to access it.

Next, Project Mainline, this feature allows updates to be rolled out through updates on the Play Store, one of which is for security patches . Users will no longer need to wait for updates through system updates from the device vendor.

Android 10 also allows users to more freely protect privacy, for example restricting certain applications that can share their location. Notifications will appear when an application accesses the user's location in the background.

Live Caption allows videos on Android 10 devices to support subtitles. Google explained that this feature is presented for users who have hearing problems as well as for those who want to reduce the audio volume when in a crowded place.

The reason Google no longer chooses dessert

names The announcement of the official name of Android Q, which is Android 10, is outside of tradition, because the operating system of the "green robot" usually uses the "identity" of dessert, namely Cupcake (1.5) to Pie (9.0).

Google explains, this naming tradition changes based on feedback over the years. Dessert names that are usually used as passwords for every version of Android are not always understood by everyone in the global community.

Food names like Nougat, Eclair, Froyo, or Marshmallow may be popular in some countries. However, in other areas these two foods may not be known.

"For example, L and R are indistinguishable when spoken in several languages. So when some people hear us say Android Lollipop out loud, it's not intuitively clear that it refers to the version after KitKat," Google explained Google Blog .

"It's even harder for new Android users, who aren't familiar with naming conventions, to understand whether their phones are running the latest version. We also know that pies aren't desserts in some places, and that Marshmallow, though delicious, isn't a popular treat in many part of the world, "Google added.

As a global operating system, Google assesses that it is time for Android to use clear names and be used by everyone in the world.

Starting with Android 10, Google will only use release numbers without a food password, like the previous version.

Android P smartphones will support Android Auto Wireless

Android P smartphones will support Android Auto Wireless

Smart panel maker JVC Kenwood has announced that more smartphones will be compatible with Android Auto Wireless with the arrival of Android P in the market.

Currently, only Pixel smartphones and Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P phones can use the feature, but all manufacturers will have support for the technology with the arrival of the new Android, according to Kenwood.

"For other device manufacturers, Android Auto Wireless will be implemented with the adoption of Android OS 9.0 or higher," says the company. So far, Google has not officially commented on the matter.

Android Auto Wireless allows the user to connect their smartphone to their vehicle wirelessly. The feature began to hit the market last month on JVC Kenwood dashboard vehicles.

Android 10 to be released for Pixel smartphones on September 3

Android 10

Android 10 apparently already has a date to arrive on some smartphones: September 3. The information was revealed by two people working in Google's technical support area.

The first phones that will be able to download the new version of Android will be the Pixel phones, including the 3, 3XL, 3a, 3a XL and earlier versions. The PhoneArena folks say that even the first Pixel, released in 2016, will be able to download the new version of the operating system.

The revelation comes just days after Google announces that it will abandon candy nomenclatures . The company argues, for example, that not everyone understood the sweets and desserts used to nickname the operating system.

In some countries, for example, a pie was not necessarily a dessert, and marshmallows are not very popular in many parts of the world. So the new Android is simply called Android 10.

Among the main new features of Android 10 are so dark, more privacy control and improvements in post-processing photos.

Third-party smartphones should be getting Android 10 soon, but each brand has its own plans. The delay happens because Google-submitted software needs to be adapted as companies include unique features and modify the look of the system.

Very soon! The new Android Q is about to hit smartphones

Google continues to develop Android Q on an accelerated and very regular basis. Officially presented at the last I / O conference, this new version has been through several trial versions.

It is known that the final version will only arrive after the 6th beta has been thoroughly tested to eliminate the final bugs. This step has happened now, with Android Q beta 6 coming out. Thus, the final version of this new operating system will appear in a few weeks.

Android Q is about to hit smartphones

This new version now released is part of Google's plans for Android Q developments. This sixth test version is intended to be the last to be released, paving the way for the final version.

Like previous versions, it is only available for devices that are part of Google's testing program. It is limited and already includes some models outside the sphere of Google. We have equipment from Xiaomi, OnePlus and even Asus.

For the version now released, Google does not have much news . These have been presented over the last few months, still under development and looking for flaws. As a final version, no background changes were expected.

Of course there are bug fixes and minor improvements. Google has revealed that there is a change in gesture navigation, which now includes the option to set the depth sensor. There are also changes in Android Studio, which now includes the final version of the API 29 SDK.
Google has new version of Android almost ready

According to the research giant's plans, this will be the final test and evaluation version. This means that in a few weeks we will see Android Q finalized.

At this point the name of this version will appear and the possibility of installation on Google devices. As for the other brands, only they know when they will have this version available.

The Android brands that most update their phones

When we talk about Android , inevitably, we talk about fragmentation . Fragmentation happens when the latest version of Android is updated and OEMs (ie Samsung , Huawei etc) take a long time to update their devices to the latest version of Android. On the other hand, iOS doesn't have this problem because Apple controls both the hardware and software of the iPhone.

There are currently thousands of terminals that use Google's operating system, and it's simply impossible for all manufacturers to update them. Nevertheless, there are always brands that manage the upgrade process better than others, and interestingly, some of them are neither the best-selling nor the most popular.

Today we are going to talk about the Android companies that best update their phones , know where to look for a long term terminal with a software update.

The Android Brands That Best Upgrade Your Smartphones

Google

The Android brands that most update their phones

Of course, Google is the company that best updates Android terminals . Having a Pixel device means that the update will arrive as soon as it is available, with no waiting times . In addition to having three years of guaranteed updates each month, the most current patch is received without delay , available for download at the beginning of the month.

Pixels are the most similar to an iPhone we have on Android, and their support is spectacular. If the goal is always to be updated, it is the best equipment to have , although some other brands get very close update times.

Essential

The Android brands that most update their phones

To the surprise of many, Essential is the independent Google company that best updates their smartphones on Android . Essentials are literally updated at the same time as Google Pixel and receive security patches at the same time or even earlier. Once we find out that a Pixel is up to date, there is an Essential to do that at the same time, excellent.

Nokia

The Android brands that most update their phones

Nokia is one of the brands that complies with monthly patches and updates, although not at the same speed as the previous two OEMs. Currently, your devices have the beta version of Android 9 , waiting PDA version end that should not take long.

Keep in mind that Nokia sells really cheap handsets and made sure that its entire catalog would receive Android 9, something no manufacturer has ventured to do yet.

Oneplus

The Android brands that most update their phones

OnePlus surprised a few months ago by announcing that its smartphones would be upgraded for three years, for example OnePlus 3 and 3T, born on Android 6.0, will have the latest version of the system, Abdroid 9.0 . A giant step forward that puts them in an enviable position.

Currently, OnePlus 6 already has its second beta of Android 9, awaiting the final release, which is expected by the end of this month or early next.

Xiaomi

The Android brands that most update their phones

Xiaomi is not the first to upgrade to the latest version of Android, but is the only one to upgrade its personalization layer across its full range , even on 3- or 4-year-old terminals. This year, it looks like the Treble project is playing its part, and the Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S already have Android 9 beta, as it should be.

You can have an updated Android , and such fragmentation need not be a problem as long as efforts are made to combat it.

3 tips for freeing up space on your Android

The most convenient way to manage these files will be to upload them to a cloud like Gdrive or Dropbox, freeing up space on your device. If you're not sure where these files are, or where to look for them, you can use one of several free apps on Google Play that can be a valuable help in this task.

1 - Download Files

Our devices store a lot of information about their owners, including data that we are sometimes unaware of on our Smartphone. Various information that comes to us via email or other applications is stored on the equipment. The most convenient way to manage these files will be to upload them to a cloud like Gdrive or Dropbox, freeing up space on your device .

If you're not sure where these files are, or where to look for them, you can use one of several free apps on Google Play that can be a valuable help in this task.

The ES File Explorer File is a good option to be able to explore the interior of your equipment. But there are dozens of free options.

2 - Photos

The cameras of Smartphones are increasingly powerful, in my case each photo can easily pass 3MB, if taking photos with your equipment is something usual, it is certain to have hundreds of photos stored on your device .
There are also dozens of applications that allow you to automatically back up these files, in this article we will suggest Google Photos , because it has unlimited space , and we don't even remember it's there, however it does its job efficiently.

Once you have made sure that the backups are being done correctly, you can proceed to delete the photos from your device and use this space for whatever you wish. Music for example.

3 - Manage Application Data

When we install applications on our devices, folders with data and settings, thumbnails or logs are created. But many applications also store viewed content, for example the Facebook application will cache all viewed images and videos so that you can display this content faster the next time we want to access it. This results in applications caching hundreds of MB, depending on the storage space of your device this can be problematic and cause performance issues.

Despite being totally against Task Manager applications on Android , the fact is that clearing the cache is useful and often necessary for us to continue to use our equipment in a fluid manner. Once again there are several applications that accomplish this task, and even ROMS and UI's that allow you to do this directly from the operating system. To leave you two suggestions, check out CC Cleaner and Clean Master .

Do you use other ways to clean the space on your equipment? Leave your ideas in the comments.

"Onion Design" touches on "Realme X Onion Edition" created by Naoto Fukasawa

Realme X Onion Edition

Realme X Onion Edition

The latest RealMe X smartphone model "RealMe X", which is deployed in emerging countries mainly as a sub-brand of OPPO, is a mid-high range model that uses Snapdragon 710. It is equipped with a pop-up in-camera on the 48 million-pixel out-camera and is sold for around 30,000 yen in the Japanese yen. Design models are also available for this RealMe X. That is a special model "Onion Edition" that has "onion" as a motif.

The design is done by Naoto Fukasawa, also known as the designer of the AU's first "INFOBAR". It is a design of the smartphone that is hard to differentiate, but it seems that you can feel the kindness of nature by finishing the back like an onion. The idea of the onion was inspired by French cuisine, but it's definitely an atmosphere that seems to have the onion's aroma.
Realme X Onion Edition
Since Realme is focused on online sales, it is difficult to see the actual device, but there are also cases where terminal stores in China and Hong Kong rarely stock and display actual devices. I took it out of the box and showed me the actual machine, but when I take it in, I can feel it without the warmth of nature.

The wallpaper is also designed with an onion design, giving it a typical smartphone-like atmosphere. I tried to take a picture of the terminal against the background of wood grain, the image as if integrated with the wood grain. Speaking of RealMe is a product that made the price a weapon, but this wallpaper does not make it feel cheap.
Realme X Onion Edition
The pop-up camera is located at the center of the top of the main unit. The other terminals often move the camera position to the right or left, but in this way, the camera's appearance looks like the core of the onion's head comes out. I tried to take a picture by putting in and out the camera, but I was impressed by the novelty of incorporating the material of "Onion" anywhere into the design of the smartphone, and I forgot to take that picture.
Realme X Onion Edition
The Realme X will later appear as a Garlic White Edition, with an image of garlic. Many Chinese-style smartphones in recent years are elaborate on the back design, and there are many cases where the expression changes depending on the viewing position, in which multiple colors are painted over with gradation.

On the other hand, Realme X's onion and garlic design models incorporate themes of "natural" and "food" into smartphones. Just changing the finish on the back and changing the wallpaper will make the product's image even bigger, making it feel like the design of your smartphone has unlimited potential.
